Function of the CT24 Pop Clamp Tool - The CT24 tool is designed to sense the successful release of the Mubea SOK type 2 stirrup-type pre-opened hose clamps used on engine radiators, cooling systems, etc. The CT24 tool senses the resonance created by the clamp release to determine successful operation and gives an output to production automation, minimizing warranty claims and costs from clamps not being secured. The CT24 tool works by levering or twisting action to release the clamps. The CT24 tool can be used for large and/or small clamps at the same operator work station. The CT24 tool has no strain gauges, accelerometers or gyroscopes requiring setup, adjustment or calibration.
Wireless Communication - The CT24 tool uses wireless communication to the CT24 receiver/charging base. Solid state relays output the pass and fail indications to production automation. The CT24 tool vibrates and has light indication on the CT24 tool and the CT24 base has light indication showing successful operation.
The CT24 tool and base have been successfully tested for over three years in an automotive production environment proving its effectiveness and durability.
